Invited by Benjamin MIllepied to work with the dancers of his company, the L.A. Dance Project, artist Emily Mast began to create the piece Split Step during LADP's residency at LUMA in 2018. Joined by choreographer Zack Winokur, together they finalized this piece, which was still in the process of creation at the time.
